Bounty Killer To Face The Gun Court Later This Month

Leader of the Alliance Rodney Price better known as Bounty Killer is to answer to allegations of assault in the Gun Court on March 20. On Tuesday the dancehall deejay appeared in court but the matter was delayed.

The entertainer is charged jointly with a former police officer for illegal possession of firearm, assault at common-law and unlawful wounding.

Allegations are that Bounty Killer and a group of men assaulted an off-duty policeman along St Lucia Avenue in New Kingston.

It is reported that the policeman had left a club and noticed a number of vehicles blocking a section of the roadway. He reportedly signaled the men to clear the roadway when he was attacked, and a gun was allegedly drawn at him.

Meanwhile, the dancehall warlord had a commemorative event for his mother on Monday at the family home in Seaview Gardens. Miss Ivy, whom Bounty introduced to fans through songs, is expected to be laid to rest on March 17.

She passed away on February 26.
