Only weeks after releasing their official mixtape for the summer titled Hostile Takeover, established sound system Darkcide International continues to reap major success.

Chronicled by selector and radio jock DJ Calico (Suncity 104.9FM) the project has surpassed the 10,000+ download mark in only nineteen (19) days  (combined downloads from mobile devices and personal computers) and continues to show upward mobility.

“None of our previous works have reached the 9,000 mark, so this is a definite indication that the new promotional strategies are yielding results also DJ Calico is a very engaging Jock and this is further testament to his skillset.” – Managing Director Shadow explained.

Checks online have also revealed that the disc has found its way onto numerous sites as far as Africa and Europe (Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Holland, England) along with some of the more popular outlets in the Americas including iTapez, Rockwildaz, Jahkno, Dancehallreggae, Dancehallstarz and dancehallusa among others.

“This is a great accomplishment and already a lot of interest is being generated from overseas entities.” – Shadow intimated.

This is DJ Calico’s seventh (7th) offering, his previous releases under the Darkcide International imprint includes: The Street (2010), State of Emergency (2010), Rapid Burst (2011), Hammahead (2011), Menke Master (2011) and Soaking Wet (2012) all of which were received favourably.
