Usain Bolt Dad Enjoys Celebrity Status In London

The father of the world's fastest man, Wellesley Bolt, turned heads and obliged staff, international press, agents and athletes like Maurice Greene and 2012 medal contender Tyson Gay all steal a sneak peek with photographs.

Bolt's dad, along with his son's business manager Norman Peart and communications specialist Carole Beckford were ushered inside the plush hospitality area located on the penthouse level of Westfield Shopping Centre, Europe's largest shopping mall by Adidas manager track and field, running, Olympic Sports Marketing Daniel Lopez.

He arrived in the UK Tuesday and although having not yet seen his son Usain, his message to him is a simple one: "Make sure you win the 100 metres and the 200."

When asked about the immense pressure his son was under, the senior Bolt shrugged it off with a smile and added:
"He's used to it. I mean there was pressure in Bejing, China, but I have to be honest... if there was 100 per cent there; there's 1,000 per cent here. I am confident, however, that my son can and will do Jamaica proud."
