Cops To Question Tommy Lee? Fake Accounts Blamed

Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee is once again the focus of a new controversy. The deejay is presently being sought by law enforcement official for questioning regarding offensive messages sent via a twitter account believed to be operated by him. 

It's also understood that following an interview at a popular television station on Wednesday, police personnel swooped down on the premises in search of the entertainer but he had already left.

However, the artiste's camp is denying any involvement in the matter blaming fake accounts and unscrupulous individuals. Speaking to the media, the artiste publicist, said that since last week she has had to shut down a total of 18 Twitter and 21 Facebook fake accounts.

"Tweets are coming out from fake accounts and they have gone from bad to worst. It has escalated now, they are saying that 'terrorism tweets' are coming out of the account," she explained.

She continued, "the fake accounts are also being used to scam the public, they are begging credit and taking money for dub plates and shows. It's like a scam that's going on."

Meanwhile, Manager, Heavy D says he has been in dialog with the police and his client is not wanted. Implying they simply want to question the artiste regarding the internet activities. Heavy D also reiterated that Tommy Lee is not a violent person and has never had any run-ins with the law. 

"Tommy Lee is all about the music. It may sound edgy and dark at times but it's just music. People are writing dangerous things. People answering Bounty which is not us, we not saying anything about Bounty," - he added.

In light of the situation the deejay's team is advising the public to be extremely careful when booking the artiste for shows. Heavy D explains he is the only person that books for Tommy Lee and his official Twitter account is @TommyleeRV while his facebook page is 'Tommyleervsparta'.
