Dancehall Artiste 'Boom Steppa' Force To Cancel EP Launch & Issues Apology

Dancehall artiste Boom Steppa would like to apologise to the scores of fans and members of the media who turned out last night (Wednesday, September 23) for his ‘MY WAY’ EP launch at the Mango Ranch.

According to the deejay whose given name Fabian Wilson, he was forced to postpone the event due to the unprofessional conduct of the management and staff of the Mango Ranch situated at 16½ West Kings House Road.  Steppa explained that he had contracted the facility to host his EP launch and based on the agreement with the management of the establishment several things were not forthcoming on the appointed day  hence he was forced to make the unfortunate decision.

“I spoke with the management of Mango Ranch regarding what I had envisioned for the launch and they agreement to the provisions.  FULL deposit was paid and all appeared to be in order until the appointed day on Wednesday, September 23. Efforts by me and my team to contact the manager proved futile he was nowhere to be found, we tried to proceed nonetheless some members of his staff were extremely rude and uncooperative when we requested their assistance with the facility. The situation was further compounded when we begun asking for several pieces of equipment that were initially promised only to be advised by members of staff that we had to source them ourselves at our own expense this was just some of the many hiccups among several other unethical practices by the establishment.  Based on all that transpired I never wanted to invite people into such a chaotic space and my management was livid with the disappearance of the manager of the establishment who has yet to return any of our calls.  We then came to an agreement the postponement was in our vested interest as we would not be able to execute the event as planned.” – Boom Steppa said.

The launch has been postponed until further notice.

Meanwhile, now under the guidance of Magnolia Inc., his new management team, Boom Steppa has released his first official EP titled ‘MY WAY’ on the Kemistry Records imprint. The 9-track compilation is available on iTunes and other digital platforms on, following the release a full roster of activities is planned including a U.S promotional tour, before jetting off for a pair of tours in Australia and New Zealand.

"The future is unpredictable you know but at the same time I'm gonna always work the hardest I can because I wanna take my music to an international level and the ground work is necessary so this is just me doing my thing "MY WAY", I'm just doing Boom Steppa" – he added.

Steppa believes he’s ready for the mainstream and will be going full throttle with his campaign.
