"I Use To Imitate Shabba" Sean Paul Talks Vybz Kartel Incaceration With U.S Radio [WATCH VIDEO]

Dancehall superstar and international recording artiste Sean Paul in a recent interview with U.S radio says that his career was mostly influenced by the likes of Dancehall veterans Super Cat and Spragga Benz.

The “She Doesn’t Mind” singer, 42, whose given name is Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, recently sat down with Hot 97 radio hosts Ebro and Peter Rosenberg where he opened up about who influenced his career, new music coming from out of Jamaica and Vybz Kartel incarceration.

“Definitely Super Cat when I use to imitate even Shabba, people in school use to say you sound like Cat,” SP said. “So that was just a natural tone on my voice and I kind of start to develop it more.”

“People like Spragga Benz big up to him too he is in the district here New York you know he is also one of my influence, so I got a lot of influence but I know I sound like Cat,” the deejay added.

While on Vybz Kartel’s incarceration, Sean Paul says that he hasn’t been hearing anything about his case, but definitely hearing a lot of songs.
