Dancehall Luminary Aidonia, who departed the island at the start of August for his European tour, is scheduled to return to Jamaica in the coming days after wrapping up a gruelling three weeks on the road promoting his music across the expanse of the continent.
Though the journey was physically exhausting and provided him with almost no recreational time, the 4th Genna deejay says the 12-city tour, which made stops in Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain and Sweden, was a major success, highlighting that almost every venue was sold out.
"Touring is never an easy exercise, but it's a necessary part of promoting and expanding my brand as an artiste. So, regardless of the challenges involved, it's something that must be done if you intend to be successful in this business. The tour was a major success, and I definitely gained some new fans in the process while reconnecting with existing ones. I must say respect to everyone who came and supported Aidonia and to my entire team for another successful undertaking," Aidonia said.
Locally, the savvy lyricist continues to dominate the airwaves, and currently occupies the top spot on several charts across the diaspora with hits like Yeah Yeah, Banga, IG Girls and Fire. The latter is featured on the YVP produced 1Guh Rhythm.
Aidonia is scheduled to headline Smirnoff 'Image' on Friday at Fort Clarence Beach in Portmore, and Pepsi Refresh Tour on Saturday at 214 Spanish Town Road, Kingston.
