Alkaline is currently busy on his 2016 quest for Dancehall dominance, the Vendetta clan leader recently teamed up with the Gully Gad Mavado for a video shoot.
According to sources, the two Dancehall stars are currently shooting a video medley for their singles on DJ Sunshine’s Yellow Moon Records “Fire Starta Riddim” Mavado who is back in Jamaica after a 2-year hiatus recorded Funeral Bell, while Alkaline released his hit single “Champion Boy,” a Vybz Kartel and Usain Bolt diss track on the juggling.
Meanwhile, last week some controversial voicenotes surfaced online to kick start the New Year with an alleged conversation between dancehall enigma Alkaline and his former ghostwriter-artiste, Kasanova.
The leaked voicenotes, reportedly recorded in 2014, see both Kasanova and Alkaline having discussions about incarcerated Dancehall star Vybz Kartel and the Gaza Empire, as well as money owed to Kasanova for songs he wrote for Alkaline.
The “Champion Boy” deejay has been accused of disrespecting Vybz Kartel in the voicenotes by stating that he would take Kartel’s place in the dancehall. This did not go down well with Kasanova as he believed Alkaline was being ungrateful.
