Iconic Dancehall star Beenie Man will be recognized for his contribution to the global music industry, by being presented with the first ICON Music Award on Friday.
The award will be presented at the third staging of the OCEAN Style ICON Award Dinner during the OCEAN Style Fashion Showcase Weekend at the Secrets Resorts & Spas in Montego Bay, St James.
International fashion model-turned-actress, Selita Ebanks, will also be recognized with the ICON fashion award for her contribution to the fashion industry.
“The ICON Award gives us an opportunity to celebrate some of the success of our industry leaders from the Caribbean," OCEAN Style Founder, Douglas Gordon said.
For four days, OCEAN Style will fete a number of celebrities through seven events designed to showcase luxury lifestyle and fashion.
Douglas Gordon, said that he thinks the track record of the lifestyle brand event has been maintained over the years because of the impact it has made on those who have already attended their events.
"I think we've put a lot of time and effort into raising the production standards even higher, and focusing on our celebrity guests," he said.
