Alliance Deejay Calado Changes Name, Inspired By Bounty

Bounty Killer protege and Alliance Next Generation recording artiste Eton Gordon more popularly known as Calado has decided to change his name. The deejay has replaced the 'C' in his moniker with a 'K' which is now spelt "Kalado".

Back from a month-long promotional tour of Canada, Kalado explain that it was during a recording session with his mentor Bounty Killer that the inspiration for the change came about.

"It was after voicing 'War Fi God' at Dre Day last week Tuesday,  then the Wednesday mi and Killa at Weddy Weddy when he told me that he thinks 'Calado' should now be spelt with a 'K'". - Kalado said

He continued, "after Killa said this to me I looked within myself and to me this feels more potent and special, knowing that he is my  father, mentor and dancehall king in music, words cannot explain how it feels coming from Killa  himself".

The 'When She Wine' singer say he's elated about the change and laments that both friends and fans have been supportive about the new spelling.

"It was Killa who changed the 'C' in Vybz Kartel earlier in his career to the letter 'K'". Kalado said after doing the song with Kiprich and Bounty Killer "it felt, I had the right feeling knowing that all three of us are Alliance and we all identify with the letter 'K'__ 3K's!! What could be more fitting ?

Known for song such as 'Nuh Gyal Cyaa Tear Mi', 'Sad Street' and 'Bad Mind Ago Kill Dem' all of which have been enjoying premium rotation. Kalado is set to release a new single titled 'Whole Night' on the Overtime Riddim for which an accompanying video is expected.
