With Vybz Kartel imprisoned and facing a plethora of charges, the possibility of a Teacha's Pet - Season 2 appears implausible. Jay Will, the show's executive producer said he never anticipated the deejay's incarceration and will unfortunately be forced to put the lid on the Television series.

However, he also disclosed that there are plans in the immediate future for a possible spin-off series called 'Puppy Love' which features eight of the previous contestants from Teacha's Pet excluding the winner. Full details surrounding the concept of the show are sketchy at this time but Will promises it will be on a much grander scale than its predecessor and will not be centered around an artiste.

He lamented, the girls will be looking for love after being rejected by Vybz Kartel.

Currently in talks with sponsors and other cooperate entities Jay Will explained that he expects the new show to do very well in the region as it was the viewers in the aforementioned that catapulted Teacha's Pet to the premium status it enjoyed while on air.
