Dancehall Producer Markus Myrie Scores First No.1

Fast rising Dancehall producer, Markus Myrie continues to shine within the Jamaican music industry despite still in his teenage years.

Markus, the eldest son of incarcerated Reggae icon, Buju Banton over the weekend scored his first official No.1 for the red hot single 'Badmind Dem A Pree' performed by I-Octane and Bounty Killer on the Markus Records imprint.

The two have also shot an accompanying video which premiered online earlier this week.

Released less than a month ago the single is steadily climbing the charts, and clinched the No.1 spot on  the very popular TVJ - Entertainment Report video countdown. The video, directed by Gareth Cobran and Scorpio 21 was shot in the environs of Downtown Kingston and Spanish Town. The project also featured a cameo from the young Myrie.

Meanwhile leader of the Alliance Bounty Killer, seemingly in a good mood, said he was happy with the work invested into the video. "It was a great spirit and good vibes, like a natural mystic, and I enjoyed the vibe working with I-Octane," the Guinness Greatest dancehall icon added.
