Musical connoisseur and accomplished producer Wayne ‘Unga’ Thompson of Notice Production currently on a month-long tour of Japan with Grammy winning superstar Jimmy Cliff continues to make major strides in his career.

With hits such as Ding Dong & Chevaughn - ‘Holiday’ and Fambo & Mavado - ‘This Life Remix’ among countless others. The multifarious entertainer in his latest effort has teamed up with the legendary Jimmy Cliff for a reggae influenced remake of ‘Come On Get Happy’, the original was featured in the now viral Volkswagen Television commercial.

According to Unga, he was asked by Cliff to collaborate on the project and considering the musical chemistry they share and being given such a privilege  “it was almost a no-brainer.

Meanwhile, coming on the heels of his billboard chart debut for Busy Signal’s ‘Missing You’ on the Heart & Soul Rhythm, the Notice Production produced compilation recently secured the award for 2012 Best Cultural Rhythm in Kenya. Unga also received a honourable mention from United Reggae Magazine journalist Erik Magni for Iba Mahr’s ‘Burning’ and Queen Ifrica – ‘Tiad A Dah Sum’n Yah’ on the Digital Love Rhythm, both were selected in his list of Top 50 Songs for 2012. Magni’s list is among the top tier that heavily influences the Reggae scene across Europe. ‘Access Granted’ by Chronixx on the same rhythm imprint is also currently No.1 on U.S radio personality Nikki-Z Hot 20 Reggae Chart.

An orchestrator of the new Reggae movement, Unga and the Notice team comprising of Jason Welsh and Gregory Morris has been instrumental in the careers of new sensation Chronixx and Iba Mahr along with several season contenders. The trio is expected to release new projects featuring the aforementioned in the weeks ahead.
