Waspp Scores 5th No.1 & Prepares For First U.S Tour

Dancehall artiste Waspp known for his lyrically prowess and riveting street commentary has scored the 5th number one of his career since making his debut several years ago. The singjay last weekend shot to the top of the FIWI CHOICE video chart clinching the top spot with ‘Hot Like Fiyah’. His previous No.1s includes: Cry Fi Dem, Unfair Officer, Buss Di Place and the thought provoking ‘Thank You’.

Produced by JA Productions on the Overtime Rhythm ‘Hot Like Fiyah’ continues to enjoy heavy rotation on the FM Airwaves and has also become a favourite on the playlist of several top disc jocks across the Diaspora. This latest achievement is the result of an aggressive island-wide campaign launched several week earlier to promote his latest mixtape dubbed ‘Above Average’.

In a release to the media an elated Waspp said, “It’s a great feeling to see your hard work paying off, sometimes things may seem daunting but once you stay focus and have patience it will come.”

Meanwhile, with less than two weeks before his departure Waspp is now making final preparations for his first month-long U.S. promotional tour which will see him making stops throughout the New York Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) , Florida and several other East Coast states.  The tour ends on May 31st, 2013.
