Dancehall Artiste Likkle Dainjah To Be Freed After Facing Police I.D Parade

Fast-rising dancehall artiste Likkle Dainjah now in police custody is expected to be released later this week after facing an identification parade on Wednesday.

His manager while speaking on a local radio interview Wednesday night advised the media of the new development.

The entertainer was arrested last Thursday following his performance at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay and is currently being held at the Oracabssa Police lock-up as a person of interest in relation to an ongoing murder case.

Detectives attached to the station on Monday said the murder in which the police are investigating occurred in St Mary. However, the artiste is yet to have any charges laid against him.

Since the arrest Ray Sutherland, a family member, said that the police have made a grave mistake in taking the entertainer into custody. Sutherland is further incensed as he claims that the police have remained largely tight-lipped about the matter.

Likkle Dainjah hails from Dela Vega City, in Spanish Town, St Catherine. He attended Spanish Town Comprehensive High School (now Spanish Town High) where he graduated and has since forged a career in music.

He is known for songs such as Burning, Run Dem Dung, and Badmind.
