With less than 3-weeks until the New Year many dancehall fans are wondering what will controversial dancehall star Alkaline unveil for 2016. The Artiste has been chanting “2016” for the past few years and as the world watches we’ve observed a slight change.
The “Champion Boy” deejay recently deleted all his photos from his official Instagram account, all but three photos, two blanks and a photo of him posted 2 weeks ago.
Alkaline, real name Earlon Bartley also unfollowed everyone on the popular photo sharing app (he was only following a few friends, family and team members)
A close source to the young artiste said Alkaline is planning to outrank Vybz Kartel in 2016. It has already been a landmark in Jamaican Dancehall with its biggest star Vybz Kartel convicted of murder and sentenced to serve 35 years to life in prison.
While the steady stream of new unreleased Kartel tunes will certainly continue to see the light of day throughout the year and beyond, Jamaican Dancehall is now lacking a real superstar of Kartel’s caliber
With the anticipation of his new EP “New Level Unlocked,” Alkaline plans to take Vybz Kartel’s Dancehall title, according to a close source to the artiste.
“Listen to mi now! In 2016, Alkaline will prove to the world that he is the baddest thing in Dancehall. He has been working overtime in studios, recording several tracks per day and lowkey shooting multiple music videos. The plan is to outrank Worl Boss during the year 2016,” sources said recently
“Alkaline is planning to release more tracks with more international artistes and of course, this is going to push him far. Tattooing his eye balls was just the beginning, he has more bizarre plans ahead in the next couple months. There are more to his agenda, but for now I have to zip it,” the source added.
