Maestro Don Confirmed For STING, Artiste Says He's Ready For Anything


Following the recent launch of the 2015 staging of the greatest one night Dancehall/Reggae show STING at the Triple Century Sports Bar in New Kingston, it was revealed that dancehall artiste Maestro Don was among the final list of acts confirmed for the highly publicized event.

Despite it  not being his first time the entertainer hailing from the Waterford community in Portmore, St. Catherine says he is very happy to be included on this year's billing and promises an exciting performance to the expected huge gathering on Boxing Day. 

"STING is one of those shows that reggae and dancehall lovers across the world look forward to every year so I know the fans will be out in their numbers and I am definitely intend to leave an impression, so come Boxing Day a crazy things over Jam World."

When quizzed about the possibility of a lyrical showdown between himself and Devin Di Dakta with whom he's embroiled in a feud. Maestro Don says he's an artiste that's always prepared for anything.

"I am going there to entertain my fans but I am always prepared for anything so anybody want run up make sure your them know what they doing." 

In keeping with its theme, From Then Till Now, the STING launch saw performances from veteran entertainers such as Johnny P, Tiger, Junior Cat, Power Man, Frisko Kid and Danny English in addition to new comers Jahmeil, Innovator, Devin Di Dakta and Maestro Don.

However, the announcement of no official clashes had many wondering if the controversial dancehall event has lost its STING.

Regarded as the greatest one night reggae show on earth, STING in its 32nd staging will feature iconic reggae singer Frankie Paul who has not performed locally in years. Other entertainers billed for STING 2015 are Mr. Lexx, Peter Metro, Turbulance, Khago, Tony Curtis, Flourgon, Razor B, Junior Cat, Terry Ganzie, Silver Cat, Major Mackerel and others.

Tributes will also be dedicated to incarcerated dancehall deejays Vybz Kartel and Buju Banton. STING is slated to take place on Boxing Day, December 26 at Jam World Portmore.
