Alkaline Labelled "The Big Man In Dancehall" [WATCH VIDEO]

Emerging on the scene almost two years ago Dancehall artiste Alkaline has been embroiled in numerous controversies from accusations of having an affinity for anal pleasures to showing scant regard for his industry peers.

Currently one of the front-runners and most talked about personalities in Jamaican entertainment, the deejay on Wednesday released a new video for the single 'City' in which he gets labelled as the "Big Man In Dancehall", a title many industry practitioners believe he is not deserving of due to his brief tenure in the business.

While others are supportive of his claim 876ENT understand that some share the view that title genuinely belongs to incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel or the legendary Bounty Killer both of whom have contributed significantly to the genre.

Shot in the metropolis of New York City and Kingston, Jamaica the video portrays a seemingly irritated Alkaline fielding questions from journalists at a press conference which leads to a member of his entourage issuing a stern warning to a somewhat overzealous reporter.

Meanwhile, on the topic of controversy fellow entertainer Aidonia while in Florida during a leg of his recent U.S tour was quizzed about the state of the Jamaican music industry and his thoughts on acts like Alkaline to which he decline to respond ending the interview abruptly before departing in a waiting motor vehicle.

Despite several attempts by 876ENT to contact both parties it is still unclear as to the nature of the discontent that exist between the two.
