No Sean Paul For Raggamuffin Music Festival

The platinum prince Sean Paul will not be performing at the Raggamuffin Music Festival in New Zealand this weekend.

Concert promoters have announced that Paul will no longer be part of the line-up for the concert however, but he will not be replaced.

Promoters will instead extend the performances of the remaining major acts which include international artists Mary J Blige, Jimmy Cliff, Maxi Priest, The Original Wailers and Ky-Mani Marley. Paul did not perform at the Australian leg of the festivals last week.

It has been reported that he tweeted on his Twitter page after missing the Australian concerts.
“This (message) is (for) all my Australia peeps!!! I’m extremely upset that I couldn’t make it 2 raggamuffin. I am sorry,” Paul reportedly wrote.

Andrew McManus, Promoter of the Rotorua’s Raggamuffin Music Festival, said even though Paul would not be part of Raggamuffin 2011, the line-up would still be impressive.

The 10-hour music festival is expected to attract a crowd of 30,000 people and promoters are expecting it to be the best Raggamuffin to date.
