Arrest Warrant Issued For Bob Marley Granddaughter

An arrest warrant has been issued for the granddaughter of reggae legend Bob Marley.

The order was made after 26-year-old Donisha Prendergast again failed to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Prendergast is charged with illegal possession of ganja.

When the matter was last called up her lawyer asked that a warrant be issued but that its execution stayed until today as Prendergast was overseas at the time.

It is reported that on Monday November 21, a police team was conducting duties along Water Lane in downtown Kingston when a red BMW X5 being driven by the accused was signalled to stop.

It is alleged that when the vehicle was searched, three clear plastic bags containing a substance resembling ganja was found.

It is further alleged that a white cigar item resembling a ganja spliff was also found in the car.
