Busy Signal To Be Extradited To The U.S. Today

Embattled Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Glendale Goshia Gordon, more popularly known as Busy Signal will be handed over to United States law enforcement officials today in his ongoing extradition case.

The prominent singjay, who faces criminal charges in the state of Minnesota, will be escorted there this afternoon by a team of U.S Marshals. According to the Jamaica Gleaner, a law enforcement official close to the situation revealed that a private plane landed on Monday afternoon at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, which Busy Signal will board en route to America.

Busy Signal was arrested by members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team on May 21 after the internationally acclaimed entertainer was deported from the United Kingdom. The singjay, known for classics such as These Are The Days and Step Out, faces extradition in relation to absconding bail after he allegedly failed to appear before the courts to answer a narcotics offence that he faced in 2002.

Busy Signal recently waived his rights to challenge said extradition and has been in police custody since the extradition warrant was initially executed.
