Demarco, Sean Paul To Headline Montreal International Reggae Festival

Promoters of the 11th edition of the Montreal International Reggae Festival have announced a second wave of artistes to be featured on the show scheduled for August 15 to 17 at the Old Port of Montreal, Canada.

Confirmed for the show are dancehall artistes Sean Paul, Demarco and roots reggae and dancehall singer I-Octane.

Demarco, who is known for hits such as Duppy Know Fi Who Frighten, Fallen Soldiers, True Friend and Show It, is regarded as an “avant-garde artiste combining song writing, music production, recording and live performance” a release from the festival’s coordinators said.

It will be the first appearance for artiste I-Octane who is known for his hits L.O.V.E.Y.O.U. and Missing You, while Sean Paul is billed as the headlining act for Saturday evening.

Artistes previously announced for the line-up include Maxi Priest, Sanchez, Marcia Griffiths and Percy Sledge

For a second consecutive year, the Montreal International Reggae Festival’s innovative series of workshops and conferences will return to O Patro Vys on August 12, 13 and 14. The programming and complete schedule of these events, as well as new confirmations of additional performers and headliners will be announced at a press conference at O Patro Vys (356 Mont- Royal Street E) on Monday, July 14,  at 11 A.M. in the company of a very distinguished international guest.
