Flava Unit Sound Celebrates 10 Years & Cops Double Nomination

With the success stemming from “the Guinness Sound of Greatness competition the Flava Unit team has shown Jamaica that they have all the flavour to stir the massive melting pot within the entertainment world.  Making strides since 2004, this team of entertainment experts has excelled in the entertainment industry and has found a niche that will remain solid for years to come.

The Unit celebrated ten years of musical madness in December of last year and cemented success, growth and maturity which many fans family and well wishers also shared the same sentiments. Big wigs such as Shaggy and Bugle also graced the stage at last year’s anniversary celebrations who expressed their love for the sound and the admiration of their work ethics and talent.

An international career was launched last year along with many major breakthroughs within markets that were not yet experienced. The team visited London, Panama and Costa Rico with mini tours being negotiated for Canada and the US.

Events such as ‘Arthur Guinness Show,” Magnum Follow your Sound”,” Lime School Aid” Dream Weekend  and being the resident sound at the Famous Night Club are just a few of the many events where they made great impact.

The talent that surrounds this sound is limitless and has shown a vast amount of growth within the team hence the growing demand for this unique set.  Staying a cut above the rest and ahead of the game is the tactic used by the mc/host Badda Bling.  “ I like to think of myself as someone who is constantly learning and gaining experience which is what I use when researching persons in my field who excelled at their craft” states Mathew .

Flava Unit’s marketing team who spearheaded by Mr. Davy ‘Tallman’ Scott knows exactly how to exhibit their brand by having their presence felt. Mr. Scott believes that maintaining professionalism and great work ethics and respect for various audiences is a major contributor to the many relationships that they have established over the years.

Team Flava Unit has been nominated for sound of the year awards by the MIA (music industry awards), and the People's Choice Star Awards. A Labor Day project is being planned as this team believes strongly in giving back to their community. Stay tuned for the Island tour and many more great performances from this dynamic team.
