Elephant Man Rape Case Postponed Until Feb.2013

The preliminary enquiry into rape allegations against dancehall artiste Elephant Man was on Monday, October 29th postponed in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court.

The case was postponed due to an outstanding forensic report, among other things. The artiste's $400,000 bail was also extended until the February date.

The matter is now set to start on February 11, 2013

Elephant Man stands accused of rape and grievous sexual assault following an alleged incident that took place in January 2012 at the deejay’s St. Andrew residence.  

The 31-year old alleged victim, who is of Chinese descent, then filed a report to law enforcement officials. Detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) took Elephant Man into custody later issued the two charges against him, following an interrogation.
