Currently one of Suncity FM’s most sort after radio personalities, Sunjock Calico also known as the 'Sunboss' is set to host his inaugural birthday celebrations this weekend.
Aptly titled SUNBOSS the event will unfold this Saturday, June 22 at the Lipstick Night Club, Portmore (behind Ken’s Wild Flower). Sponsored by Liquid Herbal Nitro, Darkcide International Pree Dis TV and Suncity FM the roster boast a stellar line up of DJs namely: Ikel Marvlus, Flabba Dabba, Darkcide, Young Gunners and Suncity’s own JJ Wizzle, Firewayne and Mario; all of whom are expected to keep patrons thoroughly entertained.
The billing also features appearances from a number of top tiers entertainers; other attractions include a 2 for 1 ladies deal and various drinks specials. Gates open at 10pm.
Calico whose given name is Chad Hinds is currently a member of the Kingston based sound system Darkcide International. However, since joining Suncity FM the burgeoning radio jock has been credited with propelling the careers of several established and emerging Dancehall and Reggae stars via his radio show and mixtape offerings. Feats which continually make him a favourite among members of the local music fraternity.
Earlier in the year he released a self titled 86-tracked disc compilation unravelling his musical artistry while serving up his own unique blend of the popular dancehall genre interspersed with interludes, remixes and exclusive skits capped by some precision mixing. The disc was produced and distributed under the Darkcide International imprint.
Heading into the festive summer holidays, Sunjock Calico and his team have been confirmed for several high profile events. Plans are also afoot for some overseas assignments later in the year.
