Dancehall artiste Desmond Ballentyne more popularly known as Ninja Man set to resume his murder trail on January 11, 2016 now has another concern after receiving several death threats via telephone.
According to information gathered by 876ENT the veteran entertainer claim to have been receiving numerous death threats from a promoter who insist the Don Gorgon has been trying to ruin an upcoming event.
Seemingly upset by the development, Ninja Man said in a radio interview that he will be seeking assistance from local telephone companies to determine the source of a number of calls to him with blocked number identification, before formally reporting the matter to the police.
The deejay who has had a surfeit of serious run-ins with the law and has done significant time behind bars, said he once would have taken a confrontational approach to such a development, “but mi dun wid dem tings deh now,…but mi nuh ‘fraid a death”.
Ninja Man is currently working on the Ocho Rios Festival, a two-day event featuring several sound systems and live stage performances respectively, in celebration of his 50th birthday. The event is slated for January 22 and 23.
Meanwhile, regarding his upcoming trial the new date was set after the case was postponed when he appeared in the Home Circuit Court. The trial was forced to be rescheduled after the witnesses failed to show.
The controversial deejay also expressed happiness after the judge gave him permission to take bookings for overseas performances during the first six months before his return to court.
