An inmate was stabbed and killed inside the Half WayTree Police Station lock up on Saturday.
He has been identified as 41-year-old Omar Nelson.
Police report that Nelson was arrested for House Breaking and Larceny.
Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that about 7:30 a.m., Nelson and an inmate were involved in a dispute when a make shift weapon was used to stab him in the chest.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
